Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant (qualified/semi-qualified) or finance professional with extensive exposure to GAAP/IFRS and ERP systems in Chennai. The role emphasizes ownership of R2R, P2P, and O2C cycles, regulatory compliance, and leading process improvements across a global BPO/captive environment.

Candidates should bring strong stakeholder management, advanced Excel, and capability to drive automation and analytics using SAP/Oracle/HFM/BPC tools.

Qualifications

• Must have CA qualification with 15–20 years of relevant experience in MNC (BPO or Captive).
• Proficiency in GAAP/IFRS, core accounting, tax accounting, and ERP tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end R2R / P2P / O2C processes including General Ledger, Intercompany, AP/AR cycles and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements; work with ERP tools (Oracle/SAP/HFM/BPC).
• Drive process re-engineering, transitions and project management for operational excellence.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders for KPI governance, audits, and contract amendments.
• Champion transformation, automation, and analytics leveraging ERP tools.

Chartered Accountant (Qualified / Semi Qualified) / Bachelor's/Master's in Commerce or MBA in Finance and Accounting

Certifications: Chartered Accountant (Qualified / Semi Qualified)

Must Have:

• Proficiency in core accounting, accounting standards, IFRS, GAAP.
• Core Tax accounting experience (Filing of returns, Direct & Indirect Tax)
• Working experience in SAP, Oracle Accounting ERPs,
• Work experience in Transfer Pricing & Tax tools
• CA(Chartered accountants with 15 - 20 years of relevant experience in MNC (BPO or Captive)

Good to Have:

• Record to Report - GL/ Month end close and Reporting, having Client relationship skill and team management
• Communication - Oral and emails

Job Requirements

• Own end-to-end R2R / P2P / O2C processes: General Ledger, Intercompany, Invoice processing, AP Cycle, AR Cycle and Reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Accounting Standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements. Strong exposure to ERPs like Oracle, SAP, HFM, BPC, Blackline, Azure, Power BI, Alteryx, etc Manage people's performance, recruitment, productivity, and appraisals. (75-150+ FTEs)
• Controllership & Compliance (SOX/ICFR)
• Global Stakeholder Management (Controller/CFO Level)
• Drive process re-engineering, transitions, and project management for operational excellence.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders for KPI governance, audits, and contract amendments.
• Champion transformation, automation, and continuous improvement leveraging ERP and analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong domain knowledge in Accounting Standards (GAAP, IFRS) with prior BPO experience. Hands-on exposure to ERP platforms (SAP ECC/S4HANA, Oracle, HFM, BPC) and tools like Blackline, Azure, Power BI, Alteryx.
• Excellent soft skills: stakeholder management, presentation, articulation, and multitasking.
• Proven experience in client-facing roles, KPI governance, audits, and business contract management.
• Expertise in project management, transition, and process transformation initiatives.
• AP ECC / SAP S4 HANA, BlackLine, Power BI, Power Query
• Advanced Excel, RPA & AI Automation Solutions, Fixed Assets Accounting
• Lease Accounting & Revenue Recognition, IFRS / US GAAP Knowledge, Governance Risk & Audit Management
