Job summary

Toprankers Edtech Solutions Private Limited in Chennai is seeking a Centre Head to lead academic delivery, student engagement, and regional growth. The role requires strong P&L ownership, enrolment generation, and collaboration with sales and marketing to hit targets.

You will oversee faculty and non-teaching staff, mentor teams, and drive brand presence through local events and partnerships with schools and colleges. MBA and 6+ years in education management are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Postgraduate from a reputed institution; MBA preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in education management, business operations, or related fields.
• Strong P&L understanding and track record of achieving business targets.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct core academic delivery and student engagement across QA, DI, LR, CR or as per expertise.
• Oversee student support services including counselling, mentoring, and performance tracking.
• Own the end-to-end P&L of the Chennai centre and drive enrolments through local initiatives.
• Plan and execute BTL marketing strategies tailored to the Chennai market.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to achieve revenue targets and growth.
• Lead, train, and mentor faculty and non-teaching staff to achieve centre OKRs.
• Represent Toprankers at seminars, workshops, and local school/college events.
• Coordinate with other Centre Heads in Tamil Nadu to share best practices and plan regional growth.

Key Responsibilities As a Centre Head

Academic Delivery & Student Engagement

Conduct classes in relevant subjects (QA, DI, LR, CR or as per expertise) as and when required.

Ensure high-quality academic delivery and maintain consistent student satisfaction scores.

Oversee student support services including counselling, mentoring, and performance tracking.

Business Growth & P&L Management

Own the end-to-end P&L of the Chennai centre.

Drive student enrolments through brand awareness initiatives and local market activities.

Plan and execute BTL marketing strategies tailored to the Chennai market.

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to achieve revenue and growth targets.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, train, and mentor faculty and non-teaching staff to achieve individual and centre OKRs.

Foster a collaborative and performance-driven work culture.

Act as the Training SPOC for employees in Chennai.

Brand Positioning & Outreach

Represent Toprankers at seminars, workshops, and local events in schools and colleges.

Organise 2–3 major offline events annually to strengthen the brand presence.

Position Toprankers as a leading choice for law, management, and other career prep courses.

Coordination & Regional Support

Collaborate with other Centre Heads across Tamil Nadu and nearby states to ensure regional growth.

Share best practices and assist in setting up additional centres if required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Graduate/Postgraduate from a reputed institution (MBA preferred).

6+ years of experience in education management, business operations, or related fields.

Strong P&L understanding and proven track record of achieving business targets.

Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt to a dynamic business environment.
