Job summary

Adani Group in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, invites applications for Shift Engineer - PECVD in cell maintenance. You will oversee operation and maintenance of PECVD equipment during shifts, ensure production efficiency and safety, troubleshoot issues, and maintain equipment performance.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years hands-on PECVD experience in solar manufacturing, focusing on process optimization.
  • BE/BTech or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical preferred.
  • Strong ability to optimize processes and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain PECVD systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot PECVD equipment breakdowns quickly.
  • Optimize PECVD parameters for high-quality thin films.
  • Implement CAPA plans for major breakdowns.
  • Conduct inspections of film thickness and uniformity.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Document process parameters and maintenance records.
  • Lead and train technicians.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.

Job description

Purpose/Objective

The Job purpose for the role of Shift Engineer - PECVD in cell maintenance is overseeing the operation and maintenance of PECVD equipment during shifts, ensuring production efficiency, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining high standards of equipment performance and Equipment Availability

Key Responsibilities of Role
  • PECVD Machine Management and Operation: - Operate and maintain PECVD systems to ensure optimal performance and reliable deposition processes.
  • Breakdown Response and Troubleshooting - Address and resolve PECVD equipment breakdowns swiftly, analyze issues to prevent future failures.
  • Process Optimization: - Optimize PECVD parameters (gas flow rates, temperature, pressure) to achieve uniform and high-quality thin films, improving solar cell efficiency.
  • Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA): - Implement CAPA plans for major breakdowns, ensuring timely resolution and preventive measures to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Quality Control: - Conduct inspections to verify thin film thickness, uniformity, and adherence, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Safety and Compliance: - Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements during PECVD operations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain accurate records of process parameters, equipment maintenance, and production outputs and daily check sheet.
  • Team Leadership and Training: - Lead and support a team of technicians or operators, providing guidance, training, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: - Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the diffusion area.
  • Key Stakeholders - Internal: - Lead of Cell Maintenance - Head of Cell Maintenance - Other Shift Engineers within the same cluster Key Stakeholders - External: - Equipment Suppliers - Maintenance Contractors - Regulatory Authorities
