Job summary

Premier Solar Systems is seeking a maintenance engineer based in Hyderabad to oversee preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of solar cell process equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical systems, service motors, VFDs, PLC/HMI, and ensure equipment reliability across furnaces, printers, and testing tools.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and coordination with cross-functional teams to maintain process stability and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical engineering is required.
• Based in Hyderabad or willing to relocate to Hyderabad for the role.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor maintenance of solar cell process equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, VFDs, sensors, PLC/HMI.
• Maintain reliability of manufacturing equipment: furnaces, printers, testing tools.
• Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance tasks.
• Support automation and control systems through diagnostics.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Plan, execute, and monitor preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of solar cell process equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, VFDs, sensors, heaters, SSRs, relays, power supplies, and PLC/HMI systems.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of solar cell manufacturing equipment, including wet benches, diffusion furnaces, PECVD/ARC systems, screen printers, firing furnaces, and testing tools.
• Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance, including pumps, valves, conveyors, bearings, cylinders, and pressure regulators.
• Support automation and control systems through fault diagnostics and logic checks.
• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain maintenance records, PM schedules, equipment histories, and spare parts logs.
• Coordinate with Process, Production, Utility, and Quality teams to ensure equipment readiness and process stability.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, chemical safety, electrical safety, LOTO procedures, 5S, and internal quality standards.
