Job summary

Lifestyle International Private Limited in Calicut (Hilite Mall Calicut LS) seeks a hands-on Store Cashier Supervisor to lead checkout teams at our retail store in Calicut, Kerala. The role focuses on smooth cash operations, exemplary customer service, and adherence to store policies.

You will train new cashiers, monitor tills, and ensure accurate reporting while maintaining security and operational standards at the Calicut location.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a checkout team.
• Proficient cash handling and till balancing.

• Knowledge of loss prevention and security rules.

Responsibilities

• Team Supervision: Assign registers, coordinate breaks, and monitor checkout lines to reduce customer wait times.
• Cash & Till Management: Open and close registers, verify starting change funds, balance drawers at the end of shifts, and generate accurate sales reports.
• Customer Service & Escalations: Handle complex returns, exchanges, price overrides, and de-escalate customer complaints.
• Training & Coaching: Onboard new cashiers on POS systems, store policies, and safety standards.
• Loss Prevention: Enforce cash-handling security rules, monitor for suspicious activity, and audit transaction logs.
• Administrative Support: Liaise with the business or finance office to resolve register discrepancies and prepare bank deposits.
