Job summary

Lane is seeking a proactive Car Evaluator to join our Bengaluru-based team in Indiranagar. The role combines vehicle inspection with sales operations to help buyers make informed decisions and close deals.

You will coordinate inspections, assist learners, and maintain documentation while building strong customer relationships in a fast-paced mobility platform.

Qualifications

• Experience in car inspection services, either as a freelancer or full-time with a vehicle inspection company, used car dealership, or automotive marketplace.
• Good understanding of vehicle mechanics and condition assessment.
• Strong communication and customer handling skills.
• Comfortable making outbound sales and follow-up calls.
• Experience in lead management and sales coordination is preferred.
• Good documentation and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of CRM tools, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

The Role We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Car Inspection & Sales Operations Executive who has hands-on experience in the used car inspection ecosystem. The ideal candidate may have worked as a freelancer or full-time professional with any vehicle inspection company, automobile marketplace, or used car platform.

In addition to vehicle inspection expertise, the candidate will play an important role in our day-to-day sales and operations by assisting customers, recommending suitable vehicles, coordinating inspections, maintaining documentation, and helping close deals.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Inspection

• Conduct or coordinate pre-purchase vehicle inspections.
• Assess vehicle condition, including mechanical, exterior, interior, and documentation checks.
• Prepare accurate and detailed inspection reports.
• Identify potential issues and provide unbiased recommendations.
• Coordinate with sellers, buyers, and inspection partners to ensure timely inspections.

Sales & Day to day operations

• Make calls to our learners and existing leads.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable vehicles.
• Guide customers through the vehicle buying process.
• Follow up with leads and nurture them until closure.
• Assist in negotiating and closing sales opportunities.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure a seamless buying experience.

Operations & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, customer interactions, and sales activities.
• Ensure all vehicle-related documentation is complete and verified.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth operational workflows.
• Update CRM and internal systems with relevant customer and transaction information.
• Track inspection schedules, customer follow-ups, and deal status.
• Support day-to-day operational activities as required.
