Job summary

Cars24 is seeking an Evaluation Engineer to inspect and evaluate used vehicles. You will conduct technical inspections, identify vehicle conditions, and prepare precise evaluation reports to support procurement and pricing decisions.

Responsibilities include comprehensive inspections, test drives, and using diagnostic tools. The role requires field work across multiple city locations with adherence to SOPs and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of automobile systems and diagnostics.
• Ability to assess engine, transmission, and body/paint conditions.
• Experience using OBD/diagnostic tools and preparing reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of used vehicles.
• Evaluate vehicle condition including engine, transmission, suspension, and electricals.
• Assess body/paint, interior quality, and test drive performance.
• Use diagnostic tools and checklists for technical assessment.
• Identify accidental history, repainting or defects and document findings.
• Prepare and upload vehicle evaluation reports for procurement and pricing.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Evaluation Engineer to inspect and evaluate used vehicles. The candidate will be responsible for conducting technical inspections, identifying vehicle conditions, and preparing accurate evaluation reports to support vehicle procurement and pricing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of used vehicles.
• Evaluate vehicle condition including:
• Engine performance
• Transmission
• Suspension
• Electrical systems
• Body & paint condition
• Interior quality
• Perform test drives to assess vehicle performance.
• Use diagnostic tools and standard checklists for technical assessment.
• Identify accidental history, repainting, or mechanical defects.
• Prepare accurate vehicle evaluation reports and upload findings into the system.
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for smooth vehicle acquisition.
• Ensure adherence to company SOPs and quality standards.
• Maintain transparency and professionalism during customer interactions.
