Job summary

Cars24 in Lucknow is seeking an Evaluation Engineer to inspect and evaluate used vehicles, conduct technical inspections, and prepare detailed evaluation reports to support procurement and pricing decisions.

The role requires hands-on field work, knowledge of automobile systems, and the ability to use OBD tools to assess engine, transmission, body, and electrical aspects. Travel within city and rotational shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of automobile systems and components.
• Engine diagnostics knowledge.
• Knowledge of vehicle body structure.
• Familiarity with OBD/diagnostic tools.
• Two-wheeler and four-wheeler driving knowledge.
• Valid two- and four-wheeler driving license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of used vehicles.
• Evaluate vehicle conditions including engine, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, body and paint, and interior quality.
• Perform test drives to assess vehicle performance.
• Use diagnostic tools and standard checklists for technical assessment.
• Identify accidental history, repainting or mechanical defects.
• Prepare accurate vehicle evaluation reports and upload findings into the system.
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for smooth vehicle acquisition.

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Evaluation Engineer to inspect and evaluate used vehicles. The candidate will be responsible for conducting technical inspections, identifying vehicle conditions, and preparing accurate evaluation reports to support vehicle procurement and pricing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of used vehicles.
• Evaluate vehicle condition including:
• Engine performance
• Transmission
• Suspension
• Electrical systems
• Body & paint condition
• Interior quality
• Perform test drives to assess vehicle performance.
• Use diagnostic tools and standard checklists for technical assessment.
• Identify accidental history, repainting, or mechanical defects.
• Prepare accurate vehicle evaluation reports and upload findings into the system.
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for smooth vehicle acquisition.
• Ensure adherence to company SOPs and quality standards.
• Maintain transparency and professionalism during customer interactions.

Technical Skills
