Job summary

CARS24 in Guwahati is looking for an Evaluation Engineer to inspect used vehicles and prepare accurate evaluation reports to support procurement and pricing decisions.

You will conduct comprehensive inspections, evaluate engines, transmissions, suspensions, body/paint, interiors, perform test drives, and use diagnostic tools to assess condition. Driving license required; travel within city and rotating shifts may be involved.

Qualifications

• Experience in conducting vehicle inspections and reporting.
• Familiar with engine, transmission, suspension and electrical systems.
• Ability to identify accident/flood damage and document findings.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Evaluation Engineer to inspect and evaluate used vehicles. The candidate will be responsible for conducting technical inspections, identifying vehicle conditions, and preparing accurate evaluation reports to support vehicle procurement and pricing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of used vehicles.
• Evaluate vehicle condition including:
• Engine performance
• Transmission
• Suspension
• Electrical systems
• Body & paint condition
• Interior quality
• Perform test drives to assess vehicle performance.
• Use diagnostic tools and standard checklists for technical assessment.
• Identify accidental history, repainting, or mechanical defects.
• Prepare accurate vehicle evaluation reports and upload findings into the system.
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for smooth vehicle acquisition.
• Ensure adherence to company SOPs and quality standards.
• Maintain transparency and professionalism during customer interactions.

Technical Skills
