Job summary

Maruti Suzuki True Value is seeking a Vehicle Evaluator to inspect and evaluate pre-owned vehicles, determine market/exchange value, and support sales and procurement teams. The role requires thorough technical knowledge of automobiles and the ability to prepare detailed evaluation reports.

Ideal candidates include service advisors or senior mechanics with strong diagnostic skills and experience in dealership environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12th Pass; Diploma/ITI/Automobile qualification will be an advantage.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Vehicle Evaluator for our Maruti Suzuki True Value department. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating pre‑owned vehicles, identifying the vehicle's technical and physical condition, estimating repair costs, determining the appropriate market/exchange value, and supporting the sales and procurement teams.

Candidates with experience as a Service Advisor or Senior Mechanic and strong technical knowledge of automobiles can also be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed physical and technical inspection of pre-owned vehicles.
• Evaluate vehicles received for exchange, purchase, or resale.
• Check the overall condition of the vehicle, including:
• Engine and mechanical components
• Transmission and clutch
• Suspension and steering
• Brakes
• Electrical systems
• AC and cooling system
• Battery and tyres
• Interior and exterior condition
• Body and paint condition
• Identify accidental, repaired, repainted, replaced, or damaged parts.
• Check for signs of major repairs, structural damage, flooding, or other issues.
• Conduct a test drive to assess the vehicle's performance and driving condition.
• Verify the odometer reading and assess the vehicle's running condition.
• Check available service history and maintenance records.
• Identify required repairs and prepare an estimated repair/reconditioning cost.
• Assess the overall condition and determine the appropriate vehicle valuation.
• Keep updated with current used-car market prices and demand.
• Coordinate with the Service/Workshop Team for technical inspection and repair estimates.
• Coordinate with the Sales Executive and Used Car Manager regarding vehicle valuation and pricing.
• Support the sales team during customer negotiations related to exchange valuation.
• Explain the valuation and vehicle condition professionally to customers whenever required.
• Prepare accurate evaluation reports and maintain proper documentation.
• Ensure that all vehicle evaluation details are correctly updated in the company's CRM/DMS/system.
• Maintain records of evaluated, purchased, exchanged, and rejected vehicles.
• Ensure accurate and transparent valuation in accordance with Maruti Suzuki True Value guidelines and company policies.
• Support the procurement team in identifying quality pre-owned vehicles.
• Achieve assigned targets related to vehicle evaluation, procurement, and exchange.

Candidates with strong technical knowledge and practical experience in vehicle inspection, diagnosis, repair estimation, and automobile servicing will be preferred.

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum 12th Pass; Diploma/ITI/Automobile qualification will be an advantage.
• 13 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Candidates with experience as a Service Advisor or Senior Mechanic can also be considered.
• Experience in Maruti Suzuki True Value or any other automobile dealership will be an added advantage.
• Valid driving license is preferred.
