Job summary

Alkem MedTech in Gujarat seeks a skilled CNC Programmer for medical device manufacturing. You will develop CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis VMCs and Turn-Mill machines using ESPRIT CAM, and create optimized toolpaths for Ti6Al4V, SS316LVM, and CoCr implants.

You will perform machining simulations, generate NC programs, prepare setup sheets, tool lists, and documentation, ensure traceability, and support first-off trials and in-process inspections to meet ISO 13485 and GMP requirements.

Qualifications

• Develop CNC programs for 3-axis & 5-axis VMCs, CNC Turning, and Turn-Mill machines using CAM software.
• Create optimized toolpaths for implants using Ti6Al4V, SS316LVM, CoCr alloys.
• Perform machining simulations, generate NC programs, and prepare setup sheets and tool lists.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and GD&T; adapt programs to changes.
• Support first-off trials and troubleshoot machining issues.
• Ensure traceability by maintaining NC master files, setup sheets, and fixture docs.
• Comply with ISO 13485, GMP, and Medical Device Class C & D requirements.

Job description

• Develop CNC machining programs for 3-axis & 5-axis VMCs, CNC Turning, and Turn-Mill machines using ESPRIT CAM.
• Create optimized toolpaths for orthopedic implants using Titanium (Ti6Al4V), SS316LVM, and CoCr alloys.
• Perform machining simulations, generate NC programs, and prepare setup sheets, tool lists, and machining documentation.
• Optimize machining strategies, cycle times, tooling, and fixtures to achieve critical tolerances and surface finish
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models; update machining programs based on engineering changes.
• Support first-off trials, troubleshoot machining issues, validate components through in-process/CMM inspections, and train CNC operators.
• Maintain NC program master files, revision records, setup sheets, tool lists, and fixture documentation with complete traceability.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, and Medical Device Class C & D manufacturing requirements.
• Follow document control and change management procedures while supporting internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
