Job summary

Johnson Electric is seeking a skilled CNC Milling technician with 3-axis experience and manual programming capabilities. The candidate should be proficient with Makino and DMG machinery, and familiar with Powermill CAM programming. Strong knowledge of cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and workholding is required.

Reading 2D/3D drawings and basic tool room operations are essential. Candidates should be comfortable using standard measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to verify tolerances.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CNC Milling 3 axis operations.
• Manual programming experience with CNC machines.
• CAM programming experience with Powermill preferred.
• Sound knowledge of cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and workholding devices.
• G&M codes knowledge and basic machine maintenance understanding.
• GD&T knowledge and exposure to conventional measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines for 3‑axis programs.
• Select appropriate tooling and calculate speeds and feeds.
• Read 2D/3D drawings and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Inspect work using Vernier caliper, micrometer, and other gauges.
