Job summary

R&D InstrumentServices is seeking a dedicated Calibration Engineer to join our field service team. This role involves performing calibration, verification, and adjustment of instruments across electrical, mechanical, thermal, and other domains, on-site and in the laboratory, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and internal quality standards.

You will travel to client sites (up to 80 km/day), maintain detailed calibration records, provide technical guidance, and stay updated on new calibration

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/B.E. in Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechanical or Electrical engineering; B.Sc. in Physics.
• Strong calibration practices and measurement principles required.
• Ability to travel up to 80 km daily for field work.
• Experience in calibration, maintenance or servicing of instruments.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards.
• Customer service orientation with ability to explain procedures clearly.
• Strong documentation, traceability and data integrity skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, verification, and adjustment of instruments across multiple domains (electrical, mechanical, thermal, pressure, dimensional).
• Travel to client sites to perform on-site calibrations, inspections, and troubleshooting (up to 80 km/day).
• Maintain detailed calibration records, results, and instrument conditions in compliance with ISO 17025 and internal standards.
• Provide technical guidance to clients regarding calibration procedures and equipment usage.
• Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance calibration efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure safe handling of calibration tools and equipment; log instrument histories.
• Stay updated with new calibration techniques and emerging technologies.
• Participate in internal training programs and skill development initiatives.

Participate ininternal training programs and skill developmentinitiatives.

Identify andsuggest process improvements to enhance calibrationefficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

Diploma / ITI / B.E. in Electronics & Communication,Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering B.Sc.in Physics

Strongunderstanding of calibration practices and measurementprinciples.

Technicalcompetency in handling electronic, mechanical, thermal,or optical instruments.

Willingness totravel regularly for fieldwork (up to 80 kmdaily).

Self-motivatedand capable of managing time and tasksindependently.

Basic computerliteracy and ability to document work accurately.

Familiarity withISO/IEC 17025 quality standards.

Previousexperience in calibration, maintenance, or servicing ofinstruments.

Customer serviceorientation with the ability to explain technicalprocedures clearly.

Basic knowledgeof traceability, uncertainty calculation, and standardmeasurement practices.

Freshers andexperienced candidates are welcome. Prior experience incalibration or instrumentation will be anadvantage.

Primarilyfield-based with visits to client sites within an 80 kmradius.
