Job summary

Suitable AI is hiring a Calibration Engineer to lead EMS software calibration and validation for drivability products. You will manage calibration data, enable integration and customer releases, and verify CAN databases during development.

Interaction with HQ teams and customer partners is frequent to ensure robust performance across conditions. You will work with BS-6, Hybrids, AMT and DCT technologies, and may travel to customer sites for development support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering, preferably with an M.Tech.
• 4–9 years of hands-on experience in calibration for EMS/driveability.
• Experience with automotive engine/transmission calibration workflows.

Responsibilities

• Handle complete EMS software calibration and validation.
• Manage calibration data, integration, and release to customers.
• Verify CAN databases and mappings during development.
• Support environmental trials to meet vehicle performance.
• Apply calibration methodologies and tools as defined by the company.
• Collaborate with HQ applications and design teams for solutions.
• Ensure calibration process compliance with client standards.
• Interact with customers daily/weekly to track validation and bugs.
• Log defects in JIRA for tracking and fix workflows.
• Interface with customers for problem solving in industrialization.
• Work on new tech like BS-6, Hybrids, AMT, DCT.
• Travel to customer locations to support development activities.
• Promote statistical analysis and big data management to validate performance.
• Participate in calibration design reviews and risk analyses.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Calibration Engineer - Drivability Product Development

Role and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for complete EMS software calibration and validation.
• Responsible for calibration data management, calibration integration & release to customer.
• CAN database verification / mapping during project development phase.
• Environmental trials support for customer to meet the vehicle performance targets through EMS calibration optimization in varying environmental condition.
• Adopt calibration methodologies, procedures and tools shared by company.
• Promote effective solutions together with Company HQ Application and Functions Design Teams
• Guarantee the compliance of calibration process workflow with the standards defined by Client.
• Customer Interaction on daily / weekly basis to understand vehicle / bench validation status and SW bugs.
• Customer reported defects needs to be validated and JIRA ticket to be created for internal / external tracking purpose.
• Customer interface for problem solving in industrialization, necessary support to internal and external customers.
• To work on the new technology like BS-6 / Hybrids / AMT / DCT.
• Travel to customer location to support development activities.
• Promote the use of statistical analysis and big data management, in cooperation with Company HQ, to validate strategies performance and diagnosis robustness.
• Take part to calibration design review - risk analyses with Company HQ Team or with the Customers.

Minimum Educational Qualification Required:

• Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering, with a preference for an M.Tech in Automotive Engineering.
• Minimum Experience Required: 4-9 years
