Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited, located in Bengaluru, seeks a Calibration Engineer for Powertrain Solutions to develop and optimize calibration strategies across gasoline, diesel and EV platforms. You will work with model-based tools such as Inca, Uniplot, Cameo, ASCMO and AVL Puma to enhance engine performance, emissions and driveability.

The role requires 6–8 years of relevant experience, BE in mechanical/electrical domains, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in calibration development projects for powertrain systems.
• Experience calibrating torque-based control systems (gasoline & diesel) including emissions and climate development is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of powertrain systems and sub-systems including EVs.
• Knowledge of engine management systems and testing techniques.
• Proficient with model-based calibration tools (Inca, Uniplot, Cameo, ASCMO, AVL Puma).
• Proficient with analytical software to handle large data sets.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate numerical data.
• Knowledge of modelling and simulation techniques is preferred.
• Knowledge of coding/programming languages.
• Strong understanding of engine combustion processes and emissions formulation.
• Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE).
• Safe, timely, professional delivery with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsabilités

• Calibrate powertrain and engine management systems across gasoline, diesel and EV platforms.
• Develop calibration strategies for torque-based control systems.
• Work with MB calibration tools and data analytics to optimize performance and emissions.
• Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights for calibration.
• Interpret numerical data to guide engine development decisions.
• Apply modelling and simulation techniques to improve calibration accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement calibration changes.
• Maintain safety, quality, and timely delivery of calibration tasks.
• Adapt to business needs with flexibility and continuous learning.

6 to 8 years of relevant work experience.

• Experienced in technically working on calibration development projects
• Experience in calibrating torque-based control systems (gasoline and diesel) including emissions and climate development is preferred
• Excellent knowledge of powertrain systems and sub-systems including EVs
• Good knowledge of developing engine management systems and testing techniques
• Ability to use model-based calibration tools e.g. Inca, Uniplot, Cameo, ASCMO, AVL Puma, etc.
• Experienced user of analytical software tools to handle large volumes of data.
• Ability to understand, interpret and evaluate numerical data
• Knowledge of Modelling and Simulation techniques is preferred
• Knowledge of coding/programming languages
• Sound understanding of engine combustion processes and emissions formulation
• Skilled in statistical testing techniques i.e. Design of Experiments (DoE)
• Complete work in a safe, timely and professional manner with the minimum of supervision
• Flexibility to undertake additional task to meet business requirements
