Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited is seeking a Lead Engineer for VCU calibration in Bengaluru. The role focuses on calibrating EV control functions to enhance drivability, range and performance.

You will drive simulations, coordinate with architecture and validation teams, and support homologation activities. The ideal candidate has 9–13 years in automotive OEM/R&D, with a strong foundation in electrical/electronic systems and experience using CAN tools such as CANoe and INCA.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate EV control functions for drivability, range and performance.

  • Perform vehicle-level simulations and calibration of torque path, energy management and thermal management.
  • Use CAN tools for pre-homologation tests and support homologation activities.
  • Interact with system engineering for traceability and model verification.

Job description

Lead Engineer - VCU Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  • Perform calibration of Electric vehicle control system functions for performance, driving range
  • Responsible for Development of various features to improve Drivability , Range , Performance and perceived quality
  • Knowledge on performance and Range Simulation ,
  • lead VCU functional calibration .
  • Interact with system engineering team for requirement traceability, system architecture traceability, model traceability.
  • Perform Vehicle level simulations and calibration of functions related to Torque Path, driveability, thermal management, and energy management.
  • Subjective assessments and Objective measurements of Drivability and vehicle dynamics parameters
  • Calibration of Diagnostics and DSM management,
  • know how Coastdown measurement and Energy management principles
  • Simulation & Calibration of pedal map, creep control, adaptive cruise control, tip-in/tip-out, Acceleration, ABS/ESP Intervention, speed limitation, Torque limits at different test conditions
  • Coordinate with other departments such as architecture, software development & validation teams to ensure achievement of simulation and calibration goals.
  • Know how on Diagnostics protocols and implementation till production 12 . able to use CAN tools like Vector CANoe, CAN analyzer , INCA 13, Able to perform Pre_homologation tests and support homologation activites
Experience

Experience 9 to 13 years Industry Preferred Automotive OEM R&D, TIER 1 System Design Houses (Bosch, Continental, Delphi, AVL, FEV etc.)

Qualifications

Graduate/Post Graduate in Electrical/Electronics/Automotive/Mechanical
