Role Description

The Cafe Staff role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a clean and organized dining and counter area. Cafe Staff prepare basic menu items, assist with food presentation, and restock supplies as needed. The role also involves handling billing and payments, answering guest questions, and supporting the kitchen and service team during busy hours. Team members are expected to follow hygiene and safety standards, work collaboratively, and provide courteous, efficient service throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills, including a friendly demeanor and the ability to interact clearly with guests.


• Basic food handling and hygiene awareness, with attention to cleanliness and safety in a cafe or restaurant setting.


• Cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) operation skills, with accuracy in billing and managing transactions.


• Teamwork and time management skills, including the ability to multitask and support colleagues during peak hours.


• Reliability and willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.


• Prior experience in a cafe, quick-service restaurant, or hospitality environment is an advantage but not mandatory.


• Basic proficiency in local languages and English for interacting with guests and reading order details.
