Job summary

Actalent is seeking a CAE Engineer/M-Tech in Chennai to execute full-vehicle thermal analyses, correlate CFD with experiments, and provide actionable countermeasures. You will model with ANSA, set up boundary conditions in UH3D and TAITHERM, and debug simulations in Star CCM+.

Collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams is essential. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in heat transfer and fluid dynamics, with experience in automotive systems and data correlation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in heat transfer, fluid dynamics and full vehicle analysis.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and data correlation.
• Experience with ANSA, CAD interfaces and post-processing tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thermal analysis for full vehicle systems and report findings.

• Perform frontend opening and heat rejection calculations.
• Debug simulations in RADTHERM/StarCCM+ and resolve coupling issues.
• Post-process results using ENSIGHT and prepare detailed reports.
• Study internal flow simulations using StarCCM+ and interpret heat exchanger data sheets.
• Identify potential thermal issues and recommend heat shield placements.
• Independently manage and deliver projects with clear customer communication.

This position involves executing Thermal Analysis at a full vehicle level, identifying issues, and providing countermeasures for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).

• Conduct thermal analysis for full vehicle systems and report findings.

Essential Skills

• Thorough knowledge of automobile systems and their functions.
• Ability to correlate CFD results with physical test data.
