Job summary

Kinly, a leading integrator of audio-visual and unified communications solutions, is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our Bangalore team. You will create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for AV systems, collaborating with project engineers, architects and managers to ensure coordinated, build-ready documentation.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required, with Navisworks experience preferred.

Qualifications

Role: CAD Technician

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Bangalore, India (Kinly operate a hybrid working arrangement allowing for a mix of home/office working)

Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM UK Time (1:30 PM - 9:30 PM IST)

Salary: Competitive and negotiable dependent on experience, plus company benefits

Interview Process: 2 stages (Virtual)

Whilst experience in Audio Visual is not essential. This is NOT a vacancy that would suit architects/building designers, however a background in electrical/MEP/lighting/data would be considered relevant.

As our business and client base continues to develop further, we now have a new opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician to join our team.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to support the design and implementation of integrated Audio Visual (AV) systems.

The successful candidate will work closely with project engineers, project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models that integrate seamlessly within multidisciplinary project environments.

Key responsibilities:

• Work with AV design engineers to translate system designs into detailed, build-ready documentation.
• Develop and manage 2D CAD drawings for AV systems, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and details for coordinating.
• Incorporate AV infrastructure into architectural and mechanical ensuring proper coordination with other trades.
• Utilise Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks (or similar software) to create coordinated AV models.
• Maintain and update AV families and content within Revit libraries, ensuring consistency and adherence to project and industry standards.
• Assist with as-built documentation, ensuring accurate post-installation documentation.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure AV designs meet technical, architectural, and construction requirements.

Skills and experience:

• Experience working on commercial projects across corporate and public sector verticals preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required. Experience with Navisworks.
• Ability to interpret architectural, electrical, and construction documents
• Familiarity or qualifications in AV industry standards such as InfoComm/AVIXA CTS preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent technical documentation, communication and teamwork skills
