Job summary

Power Bridge Systems Private Limited in Bangalore South, India, is seeking an experienced AV Project Engineer to manage execution, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of professional AV projects. You will coordinate with customers, consultants, project managers, vendors, technicians, and site teams to ensure alignment with approved designs, quality standards, and timelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electronics, electrical, telecom or related field.
• 3–6 years of AV project execution experience.
• CTS or OEM certifications will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review project scope, BOQ, specs, drawings, rack elevations, and cable schedules before execution.
• Plan and supervise installation of displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, and control systems.
• Coordinate site readiness, delivery, manpower, schedules, and dependencies.
• Guide technicians on installation, cable routing, termination, labeling, and rack assembly.
• Configure and commission AV equipment, including DSPs and video conferencing systems.
• Conduct testing, signal flow checks, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, IT, and customer teams to resolve site issues.
• Monitor progress, usage of materials, and adherence to drawings.
• Provide updates and escalate delays or risks promptly.
• Conduct customer demonstrations, training, testing, and handover.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled AV Project Engineer to manage the execution, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of professional audio-visual projects. The candidate will coordinate with customers, consultants, project managers, vendors, technicians, and other site teams to ensure projects are completed according to approved designs, quality standards, timelines, and customer requirements.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Review project scope, BOQ, technical specifications, AV drawings, schematics, rack elevations, and cable schedules before execution.
• Plan and supervise the installation of displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, cameras, video conferencing systems, AV racks, control systems, and related equipment.
• Coordinate site readiness, equipment delivery, manpower requirements, installation schedules, and project dependencies.
• Guide AV technicians on equipment installation, cable routing, termination, labelling, rack assembly, and testing.
• Configure and commission AV equipment, including DSPs, matrix switchers, video conferencing systems, control systems, displays, and audio systems.
• Conduct system testing, signal-flow verification, audio tuning, functional checks, and troubleshooting.
• Identify design, installation, cabling, network, or equipment issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, IT, networking, interior, and customer teams to resolve site-related dependencies.
• Monitor project progress, installation quality, material usage, and adherence to approved drawings.
• Provide regular project updates and promptly escalation delays, risks, material shortages, and technical challenges.
• Conduct customer demonstrations, user training, testing, and final system handover.
• Support preventive maintenance, breakdown calls, and post-installation warranty requirements when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and customer site procedures.

Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare project plans, installation checklists, daily progress reports, testing reports, and completion reports.
• Maintain records of equipment serial numbers, configurations, IP addresses, firmware versions, and warranty details.
• Document design or site changes and coordinate the preparation of as-built drawings.
• Maintain snag lists and ensure all pending items are closed before project handover.
• Prepare handover documents, user manuals, test results, and customer sign-off records.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of professional AV systems, including audio, video, video conferencing, digital signage, and control systems.
• Experience with AV equipment installation, configuration, integration, testing, and commissioning.
• Ability to understand AV schematics, signal-flow diagrams, rack elevations, floor plans, and cable schedules.
• Knowledge of audio DSPs, matrix switchers, extenders, AV-over-IP systems, control processors, and conferencing solutions.
• Basic knowledge of networking, IP addressing, VLANs, multicast, and AV-over-IP concepts.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve audio, video, control, cabling, and network-related issues.
• Familiarity with leading AV brands such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, Sennheiser, Poly, Logitech, Cisco, and similar products will be preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio, or AV design and documentation tools will be an advantage.

Qualification and Experience

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in AV project execution, system integration, testing, and commissioning.
• Experience handling corporate meeting rooms, conference rooms, training rooms, auditoriums, command centres, or video conferencing projects.
• AVIXA CTS or relevant OEM certifications will be an advantage.
