Job summary

Growth For Impact in Bengaluru is seeking a senior CAD leader to drive concepts, 3D models, and 2D drawings, owning data quality across programmes and ERP/BOMs. You will also oversee release timing and CAD hygiene standards, ensuring efficient design data flow.

The role requires hands-on SolidWorks experience and Teamcenter proficiency, with a proven ability to hire and manage a CAD team, and coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain to maintain traceability through EBOMs.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in mechanical design and data management.
• Experience leading a CAD team.
• Hands-on SolidWorks.
• Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM, including change management and release workflows.
• Experience with ERP, BOM structuring, part numbering and configuration management.
• Zero tolerance for poor data quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CAD team delivering concepts, 3D models and 2D drawings.

• Define and enforce drawing hygiene standards — title blocks, GD&T per ASME Y14.5, tolerances, callouts and revision tables.
• Manage engineering data in ERP — part masters, make/buy, PLM-to-ERP BOM transfer.
• Hire the right candidate for CAD development.
• Manage the team’s daily tasks and performance.
• Own all project EBOMs with full traceability through every design change.
• Continuously improve the CAD and release process through templates, checklists, standard-part libraries, training and audits.
