Responsibilities

• Design & Drafting: Develop 3D models, assemblies, fabrication drawings, structural layouts, and skid piping drawings.
• Drawing Checking & QC: Review 3D models and 2D drawings for requirements, identify discrepancies, verify dims, tolerances, BOMs.
• Coordination & Documentation: Coordinate with teams and clients; maintain drawing records and revisions.
• Software Skills: AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor required; SolidWorks / Plant 3D optional.
• Technical Skills: 3D/2D design, piping routing, fabrication, P&ID interpretation, GD&T.
• Profile: 8–10 years exp; strong English; independent and team work.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Design Engineer / Drawing Checker with strong knowledge of mechanical design, piping, fabrication, structural, and precision machinery. The candidate will be responsible for developing engineering models and drawings, checking work completed by other CADengineers, and ensuring all deliverables meet customer requirements, engineering standards, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Design & Drafting
   Develop 3D models, mechanical assemblies, fabrication drawings, structural layouts, and skidpiping drawings.
   Study P&IDs and prepare piping routing models, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
   Prepare detailed part and assembly drawings for precision machinery and industrial equipment.
2. 2. Drawing Checking & Quality Control
   Review and check 3D models and 2D drawings prepared by other CAD engineers againstcustomer requirements and standards.
   Identify design discrepancies, dimensional errors, and missing details.
   Verify dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, material specifications, BOMs, and drawing details.
   Prepare clear correction markups and coordinate with CAD engineers to implement the required changes.
   Verify revised drawings and models to ensure accuracy and quality before final submission.
3. 3. Coordination & Documentation
   Coordinate with internal teams and clients through emails and meetings.
   Maintain drawing records, revisions, and engineering documentation.
   Support project teams in resolving technical and design-related issues.
4. 3. Required Software Skills:
   AutoCAD – Required
   Autodesk Inventor – Required
   SolidWorks – Optional
   AutoCAD Plant 3D – Optional
5. 4. Required Technical Skills:
   Strong knowledge of 3D modeling and 2D drawing.
   Mechanical part and assembly design.
   Piping routing, fabrication, and structural drawing preparation.
   Skid piping and process equipment design.
   P&ID interpretation and BOM preparation.
   Knowledge of ANSI standards (Inch units preferred).
   GD&T, tolerances, fits, and surface finish specifications.
   Strong experience in checking and reviewing 2D drawings and 3D models prepared by other CAD engineers.
   Ability to identify design discrepancies, verify dimensions and technical details, and provide clear
   correction markups.
   Knowledge of customer‑specific drawing standards, engineering requirements, and quality‑checking
   procedures.
   Engineering documentation and revision control.
6. 5. Candidate Profile:
   8–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, drawing, and drawing checking.
   Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
   Previous experience independently checking other engineers' drawings and 3D models.
