Job summary

Forms+Surfaces in Hadapsar, Pune, is seeking a Design Engineer to join our team. You will prepare detailed drawings and manufacturing BOMs for façade systems and coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering or architecture background, 4–5 years of hands-on drafting experience, and strong AutoCAD skills (AutoCAD Mechanical and Revit a plus). You should communicate effectively in English and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-discipline

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/ architecture required.
• Hands-on drafting experience for architectural layouts is required (4–5 years).
• Knowledge of façade systems and AutoCAD is essential.
• AutoCAD Mechanical is an added advantage.
• Good presentation and BOM preparation skills.
• English communication (verbal and written) is essential.”

Forms+Surfaces is looking for Design Engineer to join our team!

Job Location: Hadapsar, Pune

Scope and responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed customer service drawings, elevations of façade systems
• Reviews of contractual documents to determine scope of work and scope change
• Prepares detailed manufacturing drawings with BOM

Required qualifications, skills and experiences:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/ architecture, any professional courses in designing will be an added advantage
• Minimum 4-5 years of hands‑on experience in reading & drafting architectural layouts
• Working experience in façade systems at least 3-4 years of working experience in AutoCAD
• AutoCAD Mechanical is an added advantage
• Good knowledge and hands on experience of drawing presentation, elevation presentation, critical dimensioning, view presentations and parts list preparation
• Good knowledge of concept design with manufacturing feasibilities
• Good knowledge of material selection bought out parts selection, hardware/fasteners selection
• Experience in working with multiple discipline projects (Multitasked)
• Good knowledge of shop floor activities like drawing releases & design troubleshooting
• Must have quality checking experience engineering drawings, BOM, layouts
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal, written, and presentation skills)
• Working knowledge of ERP, Revit and blue beam will be an added advantage
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment is essential, with a high degree of flexibility and tolerance for change

• Deputy General Manager - AP Engineering
• Will have high interaction and direct guidance form Engineering and Manufacturing teams from USA
