Job summary

Power Pace Energy is seeking a CAD Engineer in R&D to translate concepts into detailed 2D and 3D drawings, with a strong focus on sheet metal fabrication and profile cutting. You will prepare flat patterns, DXF files for laser/plasma/CNC, and ensure correct bends, tolerances, materials, and specifications.

Collaborating with R&D, production, and purchasing, you will update drawings after testing and maintain BOMs and revision histories in an organized archive.

Qualifications

• Experience with 2D/3D CAD drawings for R&D projects.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and drafting standards.
• Ability to prepare DXF files for laser/plasma/CNC cutting.
• Understanding of tolerances, materials, and design specifications.

Job description

A. Drawing & Design Support

• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D drawings, sheet metal / fabrication drawings, and assembly / part drawings for R&D

projects using CAD software.

• Prepare flat patterns / DXF files for profile cutting (laser / plasma / CNC) and develop sheet metal parts with correct

bends and allowances.

B. R&D Project Involvement

• Support new product development by preparing design revisions and modifications as directed by the R&D team.
• Incorporate dimensions, tolerances, materials, and specifications correctly as per design requirements.

C. Documentation & Revision Control

• Maintain drawing records, BOMs, and revision history in an organised and traceable manner.
• Ensure all drawings follow company / drafting standards and are correctly numbered and archived.

D. Coordination

• Coordinate with R&D, production, and purchase teams to clarify drawings and support prototyping.
• Update drawings based on feedback, testing results, and design changes.

Preferred candidate profile

The CAD Engineer R&D is responsible for preparing detailed 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and design documentation to

support Power Pace's research and development projects. The role converts concepts and sketches into accurate

manufacturing / prototype drawings, with a strong focus on sheet metal, fabrication, and profile cutting work. Working

closely with the R&D and design engineers, the CAD Engineer helps bring new EV and battery product ideas from design to

reality.
