Job summary

Carrier Wheels Private Limited, a leading wheel manufacturer, is seeking a CAD Design Engineer to create 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Solid Edge and Siemens NX. You will review drawings, prepare manufacturing docs and assist in new product development, collaborating with Production, Quality and Tool Room teams.

Ideal candidates hold a B.Tech./B.E. in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering, with 1–4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• B.Tech. / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Solid Edge and Siemens NX.
• Review customer drawings and technical specifications.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, fits and welding symbols.
• Support new product development, trials and design modifications.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality and Tool Room teams.
• Assist in resolving design, dimensional and manufacturing-related issues.
• Maintain drawing revisions, design records and technical documentation.
• Suggest improvements for quality, productivity and cost reduction.

Requirements

Qualification and Experience

• B.Tech. / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or Automobile Engineering.

• Freshers with strong technical knowledge may also be considered.
  

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Edge and Siemens NX.
  
• Understanding of engineering drawings, angles, dimensions, limits, fits and tolerances.
  
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and Finite Element Analysis.
  
• Knowledge of presses, stamping, rolling, welding and machining processes.
  
• Understanding of sheet-metal components, dies, jigs and fixtures will be preferred.
  
• Good problem-solving, communication and coordination skills.
  
• Experience in automotive components or steel-wheel manufacturing will be an advantage.
