Job summary

Alpha Precision Metal in Rajasthan, India, is seeking a tooling engineer to develop 3D models and detailed drawings for dies, patterns, and fixtures. You will prepare CAM programs and collaborate with NPD, Production, Quality and Toolroom teams to ensure manufacturability.

Candidates should have a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering and be proficient in Siemens NX, SolidWorks, and CAM software, with on-site work and ISO 9001 awareness.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Proficiency in Eng. drawing, GD&T principles and geometry.
• Experience with tooling design and reverse engineering advised.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings for tooling.
• Prepare CNC programs using CAM software.
• Coordinate with NPD, Production, Quality and Toolroom teams.
• Review customer drawings and convert to manufacturable tooling designs.
• Maintain tooling records and BOMs as per ISO 9001.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings for casting dies, patterns, core boxes, gauges, fixtures, and tooling.
• Prepare CNC machining programs using CAM software.
• Optimize machining strategies to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
• Coordinate with NPD, Production, Quality, and Toolroom teams during tool development.
• Review customer drawings and convert them into manufacturable tooling designs.
• Perform design modifications based on trial feedback and engineering changes.
• Ensure tooling complies with dimensional and quality requirements.
• Prepare BOMs, tooling documentation, and revision records.
• Support new product development activities.
• Monitor tool performance and recommend improvements.
• Follow 5S, Kaizen, and safety practices within the toolroom.
• Maintain Necessary Tool Manufacturing Records as per ISO 9001 & Company Systems.
• Do physical Measurement of Customer sample and Develop Engineering drawings
• Inspection of Pattern/Die
