A prominent technology firm in Chennai is seeking a Senior CAD/PLM Automation Engineer to lead the migration of CAD tools from CATIA V5 to 3DEXPERIENCE. The ideal candidate will possess over 12 years of experience, strong skills in C#, VBA, and automation technologies, and play a key role in enhancing automation capabilities within the team. This is a full-time position focused on Manufacturing in the Automation Machinery sector.

Qualifications

• 12-15 years of experience in CAD/PLM Automation & Migration.
• Proven expertise in CATIA V5 to 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) migration.
• Preference will be given to immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of CAD automation tools from CATIA V5 to 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX).
• Enhance and develop automation/customization tools for CATIA & 3DX / TCe / TC Vis Mockup.
• Translate project requirements into functional automation solutions.
• Develop reliable, reusable code and maintain coding quality standards.
• Perform thorough testing, debugging, and provide timely issue resolution.
• Collaborate with CAD, PLM, and IT teams for seamless integration.
• Provide technical guidance to developers and ensure successful project delivery.
• Create and maintain detailed workflow and process documentation.

Senior CAD/PLM Automation Engineer – CATIA V5 to 3DEXPERIENCE Migration

We’re looking for a Senior CAD/PLM Automation Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in CATIA V5 to 3DX migration and automation using C#, VBA, VB.NET, and Visual Studio.

As a senior member of our automation team, you’ll drive the migration of existing CAD tools, enhance automation capabilities, and lead end‑to‑end development using cutting‑edge technologies across CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE, and Teamcenter environments.
