Job summary

Siemens in Pune is seeking an experienced C/C++ Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to high-performance, system-level software solutions for Linux and Windows.

You will design, develop and optimize networking components, work in an Agile environment, and use Makefiles and CMake for cross‑platform builds; debug with WinDbg or GDB and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Strong technical foundation in CS/Engineering with relevant degree.
• 5+ years of hands-on C/C++ software development experience (modern C++).
• Solid object-oriented design, architecture, patterns, and algorithms.
• Strong TCP/IP networking experience and client/server architectures.
• Good threading, synchronization, IPC, and system internals knowledge (Windows/Linux).
• Practical experience with Makefile and CMake build systems.
• Proven debugging ability with WinDbg, GDB, and dump analysis tools.
• Desktop and cross‑platform development for Windows and Linux.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and clear communication.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work on building robust networking and protocolbased solutions across Linux and Windows platforms. You will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams in an Agile environment to deliver scalable, reliable, and highquality software.

What You'll Do:

• C/C++ Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain highperformance C/C++ stack implementations for both Linux and Windows platforms.
• Networking & Protocols: Develop and optimize networking components using TCP/IP and related protocols, ensuring reliable clientserver communication.
• SystemLevel Programming: Work on lowlevel system programming, including IPC mechanisms, multithreading, and synchronization.
• Debugging & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues using advanced debugging tools such as WinDbg, GDB, and dump analysis utilities.
• Build & Integration: Write and maintain Makefiles and CMake scripts to support efficient, crossplatform builds.
• Test Automation: Design, develop, and enhance test automation frameworks using Perl and/or Python to ensure robustness and regression coverage.
• Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement discussions.

What You'll Bring (Required Skills & Experience):

• Strong Technical Foundation: B.Tech / BE in Computer Science or Engineering, or an equivalent Masters degree.
• C/C++ Expertise: 5+ years of handson software development experience with strong C and C++ (including Modern C++).
• Software Design Skills: Solid understanding of objectoriented programming, software architecture, design patterns, and algorithms.
• Networking Expertise: Strong experience with TCP/IP networking and clientserver architectures.
• System Internals Knowledge: Good understanding of threading, synchronization, system internals, and IPC on Windows and Linux.
• Build Systems: Practical experience with Makefile and CMakebased build systems.
• Debugging Proficiency: Proven ability to debug complex systemlevel issues using WinDbg, GDB, or similar tools.
• Desktop & CrossPlatform Development: Experience developing applications for Windows and Linux environments.
• ProblemSolving Skills: Strong analytical thinking, structured problemsolving, and clear communication abilities.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with BACnet or other building automation protocols
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments
• Exposure to crossplatform development, networking security concepts, and protocol stacks
• Knowledge of lowlevel networking internals and performance optimization techniques
