Innomotics in Mumbai invites an experienced Buying Professional to lead strategic procurement and supplier management. You will shape commodity and procurement strategies, monitor global markets, and drive on-time supply of materials with the right quality.

The role requires 8–12 years in SCM/Procurement, a Bachelor of Engineering, and strong negotiation and KPI reporting skills to deliver sustained cost savings for a world-leading motors and drives company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) is required.
• 8–12 years of Industrial Experience in SCM/Procurement.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Commodity and procurement strategy development to ensure cost-effective supply of materials.
• Global market monitoring to determine optimal sourcing strategies and supplier collaboration.
• Define and implement procurement strategies for long-term, reliable on-time supply of materials.
• Negotiate medium to high purchasing volumes for savings.
• Track savings and KPIs and report results transparently.
• Support supplier qualification, evaluation, development and transparency.

Your Future Role

• Commodity strategies: Implement Commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-eƯicient supply of materials
• Standardization: Implement and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process eƯiciency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems)
• Monitor the markets worldwide to create a basis for deciding the optimum sourcing strategy and cooperate with the best suppliers
• Procurement strategies: Define and implement Procurement strategies (which are not covered by Commodity strategies) based on conducted demand, market and supplier analysis to ensure long-term, reliable on-time supply of materials in the required quality
• Negotiations: Prepare and conduct negotiations for medium to high Purchasing Volumes to obtain highest feasible savings
• Savings and relevant KPI: Generate, document and implement savings, e.g. CNI (PPC/MCP/VAM); plan, monitor and report on relevant KPI to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent
• Supplier Management: Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency
• Customer Interface: Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers (requisitioners) to ensure customers care and early involvement

Your Profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
• Industrial Experience in SCM // Procurement ~ 8 to 12 years
