Job summary

Cytiva in Pune, part of Danaher, seeks a Buyer/Planner to manage material requirements, procure materials, and ensure timely availability for production within Custom Engineering. You will coordinate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and logistics to meet schedules and commitments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields and 5–10 years in procurement or supply chain. ERP experience (Oracle/SAP) and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Commerce, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain operations.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

• Raise and manage purchase orders for production and indirect materials.
• Run MRP and convert material demand into purchase orders.
• Monitor supplier performance and expedite critical deliveries.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, logistics, and sourcing teams.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels and safety stock.
• Ensure material availability to meet production schedules and customer commitments.
• Resolve supplier quality, delivery, and invoice issues.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes.

The Buyer/ Planner is responsible for to plan material requirements, procure materials and services, and ensure timely availability of components to support manufacturing while achieving quality, cost, inventory, and delivery objectives. This position reports to the Procurement and Supply chain Manager and is part of the Custom Engineering department at Cytiva based in Pune and will be an on-site role.
