Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst based in India.

This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, analytics, and data, helping stakeholders turn complex questions into actionable decisions.
You’ll work directly with business teams to clarify objectives, challenge assumptions, and design analytical solutions that address real commercial needs.
Your work may span analytical modeling, scalable reporting, dashboards, executive presentations, and improvements to the underlying data.
You’ll collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Data Science when problems require deeper infrastructure or advanced analytical approaches.
The environment is collaborative, fast-moving, and comfortable with ambiguity, giving you meaningful ownership over how problems are solved.
You’ll also have opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to make analytics more efficient and scalable.
This is an opportunity to become a trusted analytical partner whose insights directly influence performance and strategic decisions.

Accountabilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, translate business questions into analytical problems, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Develop analytical models addressing forecasting, testing, performance analysis, and other business questions.
  • Analyze business performance to identify key drivers, meaningful variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate analytical findings into concise recommendations, executive-level presentations, and compelling business narratives.
  • Build and maintain scalable dashboards, reporting solutions, analytical frameworks, and decision-support tools.
  • Use Excel, SQL, Power BI, Data Studio, and other analytical technologies to solve business problems and communicate insights effectively.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to improve the accuracy, usability, and scalability of underlying data and reporting infrastructure.
  • Partner with Data Science on analytical challenges requiring advanced methodologies or modeling approaches.
  • Challenge assumptions and refine stakeholder requirements rather than simply responding to requests at face value.
  • Identify opportunities to improve how data and technology are used to support business decisions and maximize measurable business impact.
  • Contribute to a collaborative data organization spanning Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, and Data Science.
Requirements
  • 2-4+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities, combined with genuine intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to understand and explain the factors driving business performance.
  • Experience developing analytical models, reporting solutions, dashboards, or other decision-support tools.
  • Ability to turn complex analysis into clear, concise recommendations and executive-level presentations.
  • Working knowledge of data modeling and general data architecture principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL, along with experience using BI platforms such as Power BI, Data Studio, Looker, or Tableau.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience working directly with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate complex findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Independent, proactive mindset with the confidence to form and communicate a data-backed point of view.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguous problems, evolving priorities, and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their application to analytics is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to work from the Gurgaon office 2 days per week, with the remaining time available for remote work.
Benefits
  • Hybrid flexibility, with the opportunity to work from home while working from the Gurgaon office two days per week.
  • Comprehensive time-off policies.
  • Maternity and paternity leave.
  • Health insurance and wellness benefits.
  • Access to OPD consultations, gym and yoga studios, and teleconsultation/telemedicine services.
  • Mental health reimbursement.
  • Annual sports reimbursement.
  • Home office reimbursement.
  • Collaborative and engaging work environment.
  • Opportunities to work across Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, and Data Science.
