Business Head – Hot Stamping Foil

• Responsible for complete strategic, operational, and P&L (Profit & Loss) ownership of the Hot Stamping Foil business unit. You will drive aggressive market expansion, optimize manufacturing, supply chain workflows, and build high-performing sales networks. The primary focus is capturing market share across key sectors including flexible packaging, security labeling, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.

Core Responsibilities

• 1. Strategic Leadership & P&L Management
  • F Own the total P&L for the Hot Stamping Foil business unit, ensuring revenue, ensuring optimal cost, yield, margin, and profitability targets are met.
  • F Formulate long-term business plans to scale market presence in metallic, pigment, holographic, and security foil segments.
  • F Analyze market trends, competitor landscape, and substrate evolution (e.g., changes in paper, plastics, and laminates) to proactively adjust strategies.
  • F Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to expand market share in the hot stamping foil sector.
• 2. Sales, Marketing & Market Expansion
  • F Drive B2B sales strategies target large-scale converters, commercial printers, FMCG brands, and pharmaceutical packaging manufacturers.
  • F Establish robust distribution networks and agent channels in domestic and targeted international export markets.
  • F Position the company as a premium technical partner, helping clients solve application issues like adhesion, release, and thermal stability.
  • F Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with key brand owners, procurement heads, and industry influencers.
  • F Lead high-value contract negotiations and establish robust distributor/dealer networks globally and regionally.
• 3. Operations, Supply Chain & Quality Control
  • F Collaborate with production teams and R&D to align manufacturing capability with customer demands for specific foil structures (PET films, release layers, metallic/pigment varieties), ensure capacity alignment, lead-time minimization, and rigorous cost-control.
  • F Oversee product life-cycle management, working with R&D to introduce foils compatible with high-speed rotary machines, textured stocks, and eco-friendly substrates.
  • F Ensure strict quality standards for chemical formulation, layer coating (PET film, release, aluminum, control feedback loops to mitigate scrap, maximize yield, adhesive layers, and roll-slitting processes.
  • F Ensure the sales team provides expert guidance on application variables like temperature, pressure adjustments, and substrate compatibility (plastics, textured stock, leather).
• 4. Leadership & Brand Representation
  • F Direct, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of regional sales managers and technical service executives.
  • F Formulate accurate sales forecasts, manage annual commercial budgets, and present performance metrics to the board.
  • F Represent the organization at major printing, packaging, and label manufacturing trade shows and global conferences.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1. Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Printing/Packaging Technology, Polymer Science, or a related technical discipline. MBA or master's in international business from a reputable institution is highly preferred.
• 2. 10+ years of total experience within the printing, packaging, or specialty coatings industry, with last 5 years in HOT STAMPING FOIL INDUSTRY
• 3. Deep domain expertise in Hot Stamping Foil technology, including precise knowledge of application machinery (Heidelberg, Bobst, rotary label presses), formulation chemistry, and troubleshooting.
• 4. Demonstrated capability in launching new product formulations (e.g., high-opacity pigment foils or metallic finishes) into highly competitive markets.
• 5. Strong negotiation, complex contract structures, international trade practices, and budgeting expertise.
• 6. Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities.
• 7. Strong analytical, data-driven decision-making mindset.
• 8. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and client technical teams.
