Position: Head of Business GoSchool
The Head of Business will be responsible for leading and managing the overall business and operational functions of GoSchool. The role requires a combination of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, with a strong focus on business growth, operational excellence, financial discipline, people management, admissions, and ensuring high standards across academic and support functions.
The incumbent will act as a central point of coordination across academics, administration, sales, marketing, HR, finance, vendors, parents, and management to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business & Operations Management
- Lead and oversee the complete day-to-day business operations of GoSchool.
- Ensure all departments and functions work cohesively towards organizational objectives.
- Establish and improve processes, systems, and operational frameworks to enhance efficiency and accountability.
- Identify operational gaps and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Monitor overall performance and ensure operational scalability in line with business growth.
- Ensure smooth coordination between academic, administrative, sales, and support functions.
2. Business Growth & Revenue
- Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and revenue generation.
- Set and monitor business, admissions, and revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion.
- Track key business performance indicators and provide regular updates to management.
- Drive initiatives focused on improving profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
3. Financial Management
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cash-flow management in coordination with the finance team.
- Monitor fee collections, outstanding receivables, vendor payments, and operational expenses.
- Ensure financial discipline across departments.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Provide management with relevant financial and operational insights for decision-making.
4. Human Resources & People Management
- Manage the employee lifecycle in coordination with the central HR team, including recruitment, onboarding, role structuring, performance monitoring, and retention.
- Ensure employees have clear roles, responsibilities, KPIs, and performance expectations.
- Monitor team productivity and performance.
- Address employee concerns and support the development of a positive and productive work environment.
- Drive employee engagement, accountability, and retention.
- Identify manpower requirements and coordinate recruitment with HR.
5. Marketing, Sales & Admissions
- Lead the marketing, sales, and admissions functions with a strong focus on enrollment and revenue growth.
- Develop and execute marketing and admissions strategies.
- Oversee lead generation, lead management, follow-ups, conversions, and enrollment.
- Monitor the admissions funnel and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates.
- Ensure effective communication and engagement with prospective parents/students.
- Set admissions targets and monitor individual and team performance against targets.
- Work closely with marketing teams to evaluate campaign effectiveness and ROI.
6. Academic Operations
- Coordinate closely with the academic team to ensure smooth academic operations.
- Oversee class schedules, teacher allocation, student batches, and operational requirements.
- Ensure timely resolution of operational issues affecting academic delivery.
- Monitor processes to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience.
- Facilitate coordination between academic and administrative teams.
7. Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, consultants, and external partners.
- Oversee vendor onboarding, negotiations, contracts, service quality, and performance.
- Ensure timely resolution of vendor-related issues.
- Monitor vendor costs and service standards.
- Maintain strong external partnerships that support business and operational requirements.
8. Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key point of contact between management, employees, teachers, parents, students, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure clear, timely, and transparent communication across stakeholders.
- Address concerns and resolve operational issues effectively.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Represent GoSchool professionally in external interactions.
9. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Develop and monitor operational and business KPIs.
- Prepare regular business performance reports for management.
- Track admissions, revenue, collections, expenses, employee performance, and operational metrics.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
- Ensure timely implementation of management decisions and strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Education, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Strong experience in business operations, education management, school operations, or a related sector.
Experience
- 812 years of relevant experience, preferably with experience in managing business operations in the education sector.
- Experience managing multiple functions such as operations, sales, admissions, HR, finance, and administration will be preferred.
- Proven experience in driving revenue, admissions, team performance, and operational efficiency.
