BrightCHAMPS is seeking an experienced Business Finance Manager to act as a strategic finance partner to business and operations teams. You will drive financial planning, performance analysis, budgeting, and decision support to inform growth decisions.

The role requires strong CA credentials with 5+ years in FP&A in a startup/EdTech setting, advanced modeling, and a data-driven mindset to optimize unit economics and ROI across departments.

Qualifications

• CA with 5+ years in Business Finance / FP&A / Financial Planning.
• Startup/EdTech/high-growth exp preferred.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting with business unit leaders.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly MIS, P&L variance analyses for leadership.
• Analyze CAC, LTV, unit economics and margins for growth and cost optimization.
• Build financial models for new initiatives, pricing and investments.
• Monitor budgets vs. actuals and flag risks and opportunities.
• Support annual operating plan and long-range planning.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product, Operations on ROI.
• Drive improvements in reporting, forecasting accuracy, and data automation.
• Ensure timely reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
• Support fundraising and investor reporting as needed.
• Ensure internal controls and accounting policy compliance.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Finance Manager to act as a strategic nance partner to business and operations teams. This role will be responsible for driving nancial planning, business performance analysis, budgeting, and decision support across the organization, ensuring nance insights directly inform business strategy and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business unit leaders to drive nancial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
• Prepare and present monthly/quarterly business performance reviews (MIS, P&L analysis, variance analysis) to leadership.
• Analyze key business metrics (CAC, LTV, unit economics, contribution margins) to identify growth and cost-optimization opportunities.
• Build nancial models to support new business initiatives, pricing strategies, and investment decisions.
• Track and monitor budgets vs. actuals across departments, agging risks and opportunities proactively.
• Support annual operating plan (AOP) preparation and long-range business planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Product, Operations) to evaluate business cases and ROI on key initiatives.
• Drive process improvements in nancial reporting, forecasting accuracy, and data automation.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
• Support fundraising, investor reporting, and board deck preparation as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5+ years of relevant experience in Business Finance / FP&A / Financial Planning roles.
• Prior experience in a startup, EdTech, or high-growth environment preferred.
• Strong command over nancial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Solid understanding of unit economics and business/operational metrics.
• Advanced prociency in Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and inuence business decisions through data-driven insights.
• High ownership mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills comfortable engaging with senior leadership.
