Job summary

Maven Labs in Bengaluru is seeking a Finance Manager to take complete ownership of the company’s finance and accounting function at an early-stage, fast-growing Consumer AI startup.

This high-ownership role involves working closely with the founders, managing end-to-end finance operations—from accounting and compliance to financial planning, reporting, cash flow management and fundraising support.

Location: HSR Layout, Bengaluru. Work mode: Full-time, On-site.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in Finance & Accounting.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets and financial modelling skills.
• Experience with Tally, Zoho Books or QuickBooks.
• CA/CMA/MBA Finance or related degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end finance and accounting operations for the company.
• Prepare and manage P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements and monthly MIS.
• Build financial models, budgets, forecasts and cash-flow projections.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, vendor payments, banking and payroll.
• Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC/MCA and other statutory compliances.
• Coordinate with CAs, CSs, auditors, bankers and other external professionals
• Manage audits and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Support fundraising, investor reporting, due diligence and financial documentation
• Track company expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency
• Establish strong financial controls, processes and systems as the company scales
• Work closely with the founders on financial decisions and strategic planning
• Ensure the company maintains accurate, organized and up-to-date financial records

What We’re Looking For

• 3–6 years of experience in Finance & Accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting, taxation, compliance and financial reporting
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets and financial modelling skills
• Experience with accounting tools such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks or similar
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax and corporate compliance
• Startup experience is a strong plus
• Ability to work independently and take complete ownership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• CA / CMA / MBA Finance / Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field preferred
