We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to drive IT Product sales in the government sector. The candidate will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with key SIs, aligning with OEM strategy, and ensuring a strong presence in government tenders and large IT projects.
Sales & Business Development - Drive sales through System Integrators engaged in Government & PSU projects. Identify and onboard new SIs aligned with government-focused projects. Create and execute go-to-market strategies for IT products in the government vertical. Manage the entire sales cycle like: lead generation, bid support, closure, and post-sales engagement.
Channel Partner Management - Build strong relationships with Tier-1 and Tier-2 System Integrators. Conduct partner enablement programs, sales trainings, and joint business planning. Work with partners on pipeline development, deal registration, and forecasting.
Government Engagement - Monitor upcoming government tenders and align sales efforts accordingly. Work closely with SIs to position products in RFPs/RFQs, and influence technical specifications. Ensure IT Products models are listed and updated on GeM and other empaneled platforms.
Coordination - Collaborate with OEM teams for special pricing and demos. Work with pre-sales/technical team to support SI-led bids with compliance and solution architecture. Coordinate with supply chain and logistics for timely fulfilment of government orders.
Market Intelligence - Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and product positioning in the government ecosystem. Provide feedback to product and marketing teams on market needs and gaps.
Bachelors degree with 6 to 10 years of experience in channel sales in IT products. Experience working government tenders. Understanding of GeM and procurement processes. Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets. Excellent relationship building, communication, and negotiation skills. Knowledge of government policies, procurement cycles, and relevant schemes. Experience working with OEMs. Strong network within leading SIs. Exposure to IT products technology trends.
