Overview
The Retail Expansion Manager is responsible for driving the strategic growth of our jewellery retail brand by identifying and securing new retail locations.
Responsibilities
Market Analysis & Research
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential new store locations.
- Analyze demographic, economic, and competitive factors to determine the viability of new markets.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform expansion strategies.
Site Selection & Evaluation
- Identify and evaluate potential retail sites based on strategic criteria.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to determine suitability.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for site selections.
Negotiation & Acquisition
- Negotiate lease terms and conditions with property owners and landlords.
- Work closely with legal and finance teams to draft and finalize lease agreements.
- Ensure all lease documentation is accurately completed and signed in a timely manner.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landlords, developers, and real estate agents.
- Effectively communicate with senior management to provide updates on expansion progress and challenges.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare financial analyses and business cases for potential new store locations.
- Monitor the budget for site acquisition activities and ensure cost control measures are in place.
- Provide regular reports on the status of site acquisition activities.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail expansion, real estate, or business development, preferably within the jewellery or luxury retail sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing site selection and lease negotiation processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software.
