Job summary

GetPorted is hiring a Business Development Associate in hybrid mode. You will be among the first to sell GetPorted to hotel groups, retail chains, and other businesses, showing a real, tangible product with 2,500+ spaces digitised already.

You will directly engage owners, follow up persistently, and gather feedback to shape the product while growing with the company. You should have 0–2 years in sales or business development; freshers with a proven selling track also qualify.

We're changing how people buy from real places.

Until now, commerce has had two halves. Online, people buy in seconds, but they can't trust a photo. In person, they trust what they see, but they have to make the trip. GetPorted joins the two. Customers walk into a real shop, hotel or restaurant from their phone, see it exactly as it is, and buy the exact thing in front of them, straight from the owner. The shampoo in aisle 3, second shelf. The room with the sea view. The table by the window.

Today, marketplaces and middlemen take up to 30% of every sale and keep the customer. We're giving the customer back to the business.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You'll work directly with our founder, Jatin Sharma, who has done this before:

• Built STANDARDE, a chain of 24 retail stores with 2,00,000+ monthly footfalls, backed over multiple rounds by marquee angel investors and advisors from India, the US and the UK, and incubated at IIM Lucknow
• Built HIGHLIGHT, the world's first AI search engine for offline retail. It digitised stores with a proprietary spatial data-collection system and made them searchable
• Used that retail intelligence to launch 30+ brands in Pune's offline stores, from Perfora and Blue Nectar to Shark Tank India brands Bamboo India and Dobiee
• A design and data architect who has built 8 software products, across AI, search, marketplace, ERP, POS, data tagging and field operations, and wrote the retail data-capture schemas underneath them
• A serial entrepreneur who runs several ventures at once

THE ROLE: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

You'll be one of the first people to sell GetPorted, and what you'll sell is genuinely new. You'll show the owners of hotel groups and retail, pharmacy and jewellery chains how the future of commerce works, and invite them to be part of it from the start. And you won't be selling an idea: with 2,500+ spaces already digitised, you'll have real businesses to show in every meeting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build a list of the right businesses, and the right person at each one
• Reach them on LinkedIn, WhatsApp, email and in person
• Run demos: walk an owner through a live experience of a business like theirs
• Follow up until it's a yes or a clear no, and keep every lead up to date
• Bring back what customers say, so the product keeps getting better

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 0–2 years in sales or business development. Freshers are welcome if you've sold something before: a fest sponsorship, an event, a side business
• Confident talking to owners and senior managers
• You follow up without being told, and a first "no" doesn't put you off
