Role Description The Business Development Associate role is a contract ( 3-6 months), on-site position based in Mumbai. This role involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, driving lead generation activities, and supporting partnerships that help grow Urban Company’s presence in the local market. The associate will conduct market research, analyze customer and partner needs, and prepare presentations and proposals for internal and external stakeholders. Daily responsibilities include engaging with potential partners, maintaining accurate records of business development activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance service adoption and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and build professional relationships.
• Proficiency in presentation skills and creating effective presentations for client meetings and internal reviews.
• Experience with lead generation, including outreach, follow-ups, and pipeline management.
• Capability in market research, with the ability to analyze trends, competition, and customer preferences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Mumbai, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic proficiency in productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, slide presentations, CRM systems) and data-driven decision-making.
• Prior experience in business development, sales, or partnerships in consumer services or technology platforms is an advantage
