Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or Software Delivery.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum, product backlog management, and SDLC.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of requirements engineering, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization, and product roadmaps.
  • Experience working closely with software engineering, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams.
  • Good understanding of APIs, cloud platforms, microservices, databases, and modern software architecture.
  • Experience with product analytics, KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in Automotive, Embedded Software, ADAS, ECU, or connected products is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership, ownership, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Product Manager in defining product vision, roadmap, priorities, and release plans.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring effective prioritization.
  • Translate business and customer needs into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, QA, UX, and business teams for successful delivery.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, product reviews, and release planning.
  • Analyze customer and stakeholder feedback and convert it into actionable product requirements.
  • Manage dependencies, risks, priorities, and delivery commitments.
  • Act as the Product Manager's representative and make day-to-day product decisions when required.
  • Track product progress using KPIs, product metrics, and delivery dashboards.
  • Ensure features meet defined business objectives, quality standards, and acceptance criteria.
  • Drive alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Mentor Product Owners/Business Analysts and promote Agile product management practices.

Summary

As a Proxy Product Manager, you will be responsible for supporting product strategy, roadmap planning, backlog management, and delivery across cross-functional engineering teams. You will act as a bridge between Product Managers, Product Owners, business stakeholders, engineering, architecture, and QA teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and successfully delivered.

The role requires strong expertise in product lifecycle management, Agile methodologies, requirements engineering, stakeholder management, and delivery planning, with the ability to independently drive product decisions and priorities in alignment with the overall product vision.
