Role Purpose

The Business Analyst - Risk Management is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and improving business processes, risk management frameworks, and compliance solutions that support organizational objectives. The role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, compliance functions, and project teams to ensure effective delivery of risk and compliance initiatives.

The Business Analyst will contribute to the design and implementation of technology-enabled solutions supporting Risk Management, Legal, Ethics & Compliance, and Enterprise Information Management processes while ensuring alignment with business objectives, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions to gather requirements.
• Develop user stories, business process models, use cases, and functional specifications.
• Support Agile delivery methodologies through backlog management and sprint activities.

Risk & Compliance Process Analysis

• Analyze and optimize risk management and compliance processes.
• Support implementation and enhancement of solutions related to:
• Third-Party Risk Management
• Trade Compliance Screening
• Ethics and Compliance Monitoring
• Conflicts of Interest Management
• Gift and Hospitality Management
• Identify process gaps, risks, and opportunities for operational improvements.

Information Management & Governance

• Support Information Lifecycle Management initiatives.
• Assist in defining and managing:
• Retention Labeling
• Records Management

• Non-Record Disposal Processes
• Ensure business requirements align with data governance and compliance policies.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with business users, risk teams, compliance teams, architects, developers, and project managers.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing business and process expertise.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams.

Solution Delivery Support

• Participate in solution design discussions and validate business requirements against proposed solutions.
• Support testing activities, including UAT planning, execution, and defect management.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations and compliance requirements.
• Assist with change management and user adoption activities.

Documentation & Process Improvement

• Create and maintain:
• Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
• Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS)
• Process Flow Diagrams
• User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
• Risk and Compliance Documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• 7-10 years of experience in Business Analysis, Risk Management, Compliance, or related domains.
• Experience working with enterprise-wide technology and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirement management experience.
