Job summary

Veracity Digital Limited is seeking a Business Analyst based in Chennai to translate business requirements into technical solutions with strong traceability. You will review solution designs, participate in user acceptance testing, and contribute to the architectural design of system features and integrations.

You will document data flows, mapping/linkage and data migration while ensuring alignment with Agile processes and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level university degree in Finance, Accounting, CS or related field.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions with traceability.
• Knowledge of trade surveillance concepts and related systems is a plus.
• Proficient in documenting data flows, data mapping and data migration.

Job description

We are looking for a Business Analyst (individuals currently based in Chennai) who will be responsible for translating business requirements into implementable technical solutions including traceability, conducting peer reviews of solution designs and functional documentation by team members, conducting user acceptance and contributing to the architectural design of system features and integrations.

Core Requirements:

• Exposure to front-office models and a strong understanding of market-standard approaches.
• Practical experience with modelling techniques, ideally across multiple asset classes.
• Good understanding of FX market data, including forward points, swap points, and IR curves.
• Good understanding of key risk categories, including Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, Prime Services, and XVA.
• Basic knowledge of financial products valuation and pricing models, including their risk factors and impact on risk models.
• Good understanding of market abuse scenarios, including front running, spoofing, and insider trading.
• Experience with trade surveillance processes and systems such as MANTAS, SMARTS, and MAST.
• Proven experience in documenting data flows, rule-based solutions, data mapping/linkage, and data migration.
• Good understanding of market abuse scenarios, including front running, spoofing, and insider trading.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using large language models (LLMs) to support documentation activities.

Skills & Processes:

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Good knowledge of the release process and control procedures.

• Work closely with business stakeholders & upstream SMEs to ensure Functional and Non-Functional requirements are clearly understood and aligned with agreed project objectives.
• Data analysis to establish linkage for end-to-end flow and lifecycle of trade execution.
• Own and create Solution Specification documentation such as Traceability Matrix/FSD/TSD for assigned work areas and assist in the creation of test strategies and plans ensuring complete traceability.
• Create high-quality documentation to capture data linkage and lifecycle by product using tools like Confluence, Wiki, Word, Excel, etc.
• Follow agile processes for workstreams delivered through agile methodology.
• Ensure deliverables meet Company Governance standards.
• Ensure projects deliver more stable systems into production.
• Track all issues to a satisfactory closure during all stages of testing using ADO.
