Job summary

IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to bridge regulatory requirements with business and technology teams. You will translate DGCA/BCAS/MoCA mandates into BRDs, FRs, user stories, and process changes, and contribute to airport automation initiatives across passenger processing and baggage handling.

The role requires strong aviation domain experience, SDLC and Agile familiarity, and excellent stakeholder management, to deliver compliant, scalable solutions

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in business analysis or related roles.
• Minimum 3 years in the airline, airport, or aviation domain.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Aviation Management or related field.
• Strong experience in product management, digital transformation, and airport operational systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of aviation regulatory projects across airport and operational systems.
• Engage with DGCA, BCAS, MoCA, Immigration, and Airport Operators to understand mandates and compliance.
• Coordinate with Operations, Security, Customer Service, Commercial, Legal, and Digital teams.
• Manage regulatory timelines, dependencies, risks, and governance activities.
• Ensure successful implementation and compliance certification of regulatory initiatives.
• Gather and document BRDs, FRSs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, and solution reviews with stakeholders.
• Support UAT planning, execution, and sign-off activities.
• Work with Product Managers, Architects, Development Teams, Vendors, and Operations during implementation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes through technology and automation.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and business-focused Business analyst who have prior experience in managing Aviation regulatory including DGCA, BCAS, MOCA.

This role will act as the bridge between regulatory stakeholders, business teams, and technology teams, ensuring that regulatory requirements are translated into actionable business requirements, user stories, process changes, and system enhancements. The role will also contribute to broader airport automation and digital initiatives spanning passenger processing, baggage handling, security, and ramp operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of aviation regulatory projects across airport and operational systems.
• Engage with regulatory agencies such as DGCA, BCAS, MoCA, Immigration, and Airport Operators to understand new mandatesand compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders across Operations, Security, Customer Service, Commercial, Legal, and Digital teams.
• Manage regulatory timelines, dependencies, risks, and project governance activities.
• Ensure successful implementation and compliance certification of regulatory initiatives.

Business Analysis & Requirement Management

• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and regulatory requirements.
• Translate regulatory notifications and business requirements into:
  • Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
  • Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS)
  • User Stories
  • Process Flows
  • Acceptance Criteria
• Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, and solution reviews with stakeholders.
• Support UAT planning, execution, and sign-off activities.

Project Delivery & Implementation

• Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, Development Teams, Vendors, and Operations teams during implementation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure delivery against scope, timelines, and quality standards.
• Drive issue resolution and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support rollout planning, change management, training, and hypercare activities.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes through technology and automation.
• Participate in digital initiatives related to:
  • Passenger Processing Systems
  • Baggage Processing & Tracking
  • Security Systems
  • Ramp Operations
  • Airport and Airline Integrations
  • New Airport setup & launch projects.
• Contribute to operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer experience enhancement initiatives.

Technical Understanding

• Understanding of application development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to APIs, system integrations, and enterprise applications is desirable.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of overall professional experience.
