Job summary

ALLPS is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support ERP initiatives, process improvement and integrations in a public-sector/utility setting. The role focuses on requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and system documentation.

You will work with Oracle Fusion Cloud or Oracle EBS, ESB integrations, Power BI dashboards, and Power Apps/SharePoint Online to deliver enhanced finance, HR, procurement and supply chain processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as Business Analyst on ERP/enterprise systems.
• Requirements elicitation, stakeholder management & documentation.
• Proficient in BPMN and process mapping techniques.
• Experience with ERP processes: Finance, HR, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud or Oracle EBS.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support enterprise business systems, ERP initiatives, and process improvement projects within a public-sector or utility environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, system integrations, and stakeholder management, with exposure to Oracle Fusion Cloud or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).

The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and system vendors to translate business needs into functional requirements, support system enhancements, and ensure successful implementation through testing and user acceptance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements elicitation through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and business consultations.
• Analyse existing business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements using process mapping techniques such as BPMN.
• Develop business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Support ERP implementations, enhancements, and integrations across Finance, HR, Procurement, and Supply Chain functions.
• Analyse integration requirements and prepare data mappings, interface specifications, and business rules for systems connected through an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).
• Gather and document requirements for utility billing and customer-related business systems.
• Define business requirements for Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualisations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows using Microsoft Power Apps and SharePoint Online.
• Develop UAT strategies, test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria; coordinate testing and defect resolution with business and technical teams.
• Assess the impact of proposed changes on business processes, systems, data, and end users.
• Support Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for system changes involving personal information, where required.
• Prepare business documentation, facilitate knowledge transfer, and support change management and implementation activities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst working on ERP, enterprise business systems, public-sector systems, or utility-related projects.
• Strong experience in requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, business process analysis, and functional documentation.
• Hands-on experience creating process maps using BPMN or equivalent methodologies.
• Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements documents, and functional specifications.
• Understanding of ERP business processes, particularly Finance, HR, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• Experience with system integrations, data mapping, interface requirements, and data validation.
• Experience supporting UAT planning, execution, defect tracking, and business sign-off.
• Ability to gather and document requirements for Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint Online, and workflow automation using Microsoft Power Apps.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in public-sector, municipal, county, or utility environments.
• Strong exposure to Oracle Fusion Cloud or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) implementations or enhancements.
• Experience with utility billing, customer information systems, or enterprise finance and procurement systems.
• IIBA CBAP or CCBA certification.
• Agile Business Analyst certification or relevant Agile delivery experience.
• Familiarity with data governance, privacy requirements, and enterprise data management.
