Business Analyst
Company: Prospect Infosystem LLP
Location: Gachibowli
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift Timing: 2:00 PM 11:00 PM (Evening Shift)
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Experience Required: 2 Years
Salary: 30,000 per month
About the Role
Prospect Infosystem is looking for a versatile Business Analyst cum QA Analyst to join our evening shift team. This is a hybrid role suited to someone who enjoys owning a feature end-to-end — from understanding what the client needs, to defining it clearly for the team, to making sure what gets built actually works as intended. You'll be the thread connecting requirements to delivery, translating business needs into specifications and then validating that the final product meets them.
This role is ideal for a candidate who wants broader ownership of the product lifecycle rather than working in a narrow, siloed function.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Ownership
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from clients and internal stakeholders
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Create process flows, wireframes, and documentation (BRD/FRD/SRS)
- Liaise with clients — including international clients — during evening/overlapping time zones
Delivery Collaboration
- Work closely with project managers and developers to ensure requirements are correctly understood and implemented
- Identify gaps, risks, and process improvement opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in sprint planning and reviews, representing both the business and quality perspective
Quality Validation
- Design test cases and scenarios directly from the requirements you've defined, ensuring nothing is lost in translation
- Execute functional, regression, and UAT to confirm the delivered product matches the original business intentLog, track, and manage defects through to closure using tools like JIRA
- Own traceability between requirements, test cases, and final deliverables
- Sign off on releases with confidence that both the \"what was asked\" and \"what was built\" are aligned
What Makes This Role Different
Because you'll define the requirements and validate the outcome, you'll have full visibility and accountability across the project — reducing handoff gaps between business and QA teams and giving you a real say in what \"done\" means.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Business Analyst, QA, or hybrid BA/QA role
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Proficiency with tools like MS Excel, JIRA, Confluence, or similar
- Solid grasp of manual testing concepts and structured test documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both client-facing and internal collaboration
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Comfortable owning a task from requirement gathering through to quality sign-off
- Available for evening shift (2 PM – 11 PM), Monday to Friday
Good to Have
- Experience working with international/US/UK clients
- Basic knowledge of UI/UX principles
- Familiarity with SQL or basic data analysis
- Exposure to automation testing tools (Selenium, Postman, etc.)
- Prior experience in a software development company
