Job summary

New Vision Softcom & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to partner with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering teams to define data and platform capabilities within a hybrid work model in Hyderabad.

You will translate complex business and technical requirements into backlog artifacts, ensuring alignment to API contracts and end-to-end data flows. Strong grasp of Agile, SDLC, and data modelling is required; 5+ years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst partners with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering teams to define and deliver data and platform capabilities. This role is responsible for translating complex business and technical requirements into structured backlog artifacts (Epics, Features, User Stories), ensuring alignment to architecture, API contracts, and end-to-end data flows. The BA plays a critical role in Sprint 0 readiness, Pl planning, and governance, ensuring delivery is executable, testable, and aligned to platform strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to prioritize technical and functional requirements and maintenance of the product roadmap.
• Identifies what the business wants and works with the team to determine what's feasible to deliver (adherence to firm policies and standards).
• Understands pieces of the business capability to understand potential process redesign opportunities.
• Defines, documents, and communicates requirements in work items for product development team (epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria).
• Organizes, models, and specifies requirements with the appropriate level of detail given complexity, risk, and audience; represent requirements using alternative views (ex. models/diagrams) where appropriate.
• Participates and champions all agile/scrum ceremonies (or adherence to Kanban principles)
• Monitors sprint burndown charts to know when to ramp up/down the team to drive quality and velocity over time.
• Owns backlog structure in Azure DevOps (Epics, Features, Stories, Acceptance Criteria)
• Defines Given/When/Then acceptance criteria aligned to business and technical outcomes
• Works with architects to define API contracts, data flows, and integration points
• Identifies and manages cross-team dependencies and blockers Supports PI planning, Sprint 0 readiness, and demo scope definition
• Ensures requirements align to governance, architecture, and system-of-record boundaries

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree (preference given to Business or Technology or Accounting major).
• Certification of Capability in Business Analysis or equivalent experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Understanding of Agile development methodologies (required).
• Experience working in data platforms or enterprise integration environments.
• Familiarity with data models, and schema design (preferred)
• Experience in tax products (optional but helpful).
• Understands how agentic Al functions.

It is highly technical, but still able to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and communicate well.

• Have 5+ years of professional analyst experience.
• Is passionate about understanding the client's needs.
• Thrives in ambiguity, working across multiple organizational stakeholders.
• Knowledgeable in the use of Application integration APls
• SQL queries and cloud native application knowledge are pluses (but not required)
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Business or Information Systems
• Prior public accounting experience with mid-to-large firm(s) or other professional services experience (preferred).
