Job summary

Ocean Techventures is seeking a highly analytical Business Analyst to bridge clients, business teams, and technical teams. You will gather requirements, prepare BRD, FRD, SRS, and User Stories, and coordinate with developers, QA, and UI/UX to ensure timely project delivery.

The ideal candidate has a technical background with strong SDLC, Agile knowledge, and excellent communication skills to translate business needs into technical specifications for international projects.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Technical Business Analyst in IT Services or Software Development industry.
• Technical background in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile Methodology, and Software Development processes.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements from clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct requirement gathering calls, discovery sessions, and client meetings.
• Prepare BRD, FRD, SRS, User Stories, Use Cases, Workflow Diagrams, and Functional Documentation.
• Coordinate with development, UI/UX, QA, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Understand client business objectives and translate them into technical requirements.
• Assist in solution planning, feature discussions, and effort estimations.
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure clarity of requirements and timely project delivery.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
• Track project progress, requirement changes, and issue resolution.
• Support pre-sales discussions, proposal preparation, and client presentations when required.
• Ensure smooth communication between clients and internal teams.

We are looking for a highly analytical and technically sound Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between clients, business teams, and technical teams. The candidate will be responsible for understanding client requirements, analyzing business needs, preparing functional documentation, coordinating with developers and QA teams, and ensuring successful project execution.

The ideal candidate should come from a technical background with a good understanding of software development, mobile applications, web technologies, APIs, and Agile project execution.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-4 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Technical Business Analyst in IT Services or Software Development industry
• Technical background in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile Methodology, and Software Development processes
• Good understanding of Mobile Applications, Web Development, APIs, SaaS, or Custom Software Solutions
• Experience in preparing BRD, FRD, SRS, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, Draw.io, Visio, or similar platforms
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to understand technical architecture and communicate effectively with developers
• Experience working with international clients is preferred

Preferred Technical Knowledge

• Basic understanding of APIs and database concepts
• Knowledge of software architecture and workflows
• Familiarity with UI/UX concepts and wireframing
• Basic understanding of SQL or data flow concepts is an added advantage
