Job summary

Absolutelabs is seeking a Business Analyst with strong retail domain experience to bridge business needs and technology solutions across our retail client engagements. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements and analyse processes.

You will translate business needs into actionable specifications, support discovery workshops, map AS-IS to TO-BE, and work with solution architects and development teams to deliver digital transformation in the retail space.

Qualifications

• 5+ years BA experience in Retail or Hospitality.
• Familiarity with cross-functional business processes.
• Proven experience in process mapping, requirements engineering, solution design, and stakeholder management.
• Experience in agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
• Familiarity with applications used in Retail/Hospitality such as CRM, ERP, POS, OMS, eCommerce, Loyalty, PIM/PLM.

Responsibilities

• Lead project discovery phases by organizing & facilitating workshops, capturing outcomes, and maintaining logs.
• Analyse current AS-IS landscapes and design optimized TO-BE processes.
• Translate business needs into actionable functional and technical requirements.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to identify optimal solutions and drive innovations.
• Deliver high-quality outputs on schedule with peer reviews and client readiness.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on progress, risks, and health.
• Configure and manage applications based on project requirements and integrate support.
• Analyse data to support requirements, validate designs, and aid testing.
• Support pre-sales activities including impact assessments and solution discussions.

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into actionable specifications that drive digital transformation initiatives in the retail space.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project discovery phases by organizing & facilitating workshops, capturing key outcomes, and maintaining discovery logs, while proactively learning relevant functional and technical concepts prior to kick-off.


• Analyse clients current (AS-IS) landscape and design optimised future-state (TO-BE) processes that improve efficiency and user experience.


• Translate business needs into actionable functional and technical requirements, ensuring alignment between client stakeholders, solution architects, and development teams..


• Conduct in-depth technical and functional analysis to identify optimal solutions, resolve issues, and drive innovation opportunities.


• Deliver high-quality project outputs on schedule, ensuring all deliverables are peer-reviewed and client-ready.


• Maintain clear, regular communication with internal and client stakeholders on project progress, risks, and overall health, while escalating challenges when necessary.


• Configure and manage applications based on project requirements, including system setup, workflow configuration, and integration support.


• Analyse data to support requirements gathering, validate designs, aid testing efforts, and monitor production performance.


• Support pre-sales activities including organisational impact assessments, and solutioning discussions, drawing on experience to help influence decisions .


• Provide advisory consulting services to Clients, using Business Domain & Platform knowledge to guide on strategic direction and operational cross-functional design

Required Skill & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst with significant experience in Retail or Hospitality domain.


• Familiarity with industry standard cross-functional business processes


• Proven experience in process mapping, requirements engineering, solution design, and stakeholder management


• Experience working in agile or hybrid project delivery environments.


• Familiarity with typical types of applications used in Retail or Hospitality sectors such as CRM, ERP, POS, OMS, eCommerce, Client Eling, Loyalty, PIM/PLM, Booking/Reservation, Data/Analytics & Integration etc.
