Job summary

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre Bengaluru is seeking a pragmatic Business Analyst to translate complex banking needs into functional requirements. You will act as the SPOC for business requirements, perform impact analysis, and drive testing and certification ahead of user acceptance.

The role requires solid SQL skills, knowledge of liquidity risk, Basel III concepts, and experience with data modeling in banking products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as a business analyst in banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of liquidity risk and Basel III concepts.
• Proficient SQL and data modeling skills for analytical tasks.
• Experience documenting BRD/FRD and functional specs using standard templates.

Responsibilities

• Understand user expectations and develop functional requirements with stakeholders.
• Provide knowledge transfer to development teams on functional specs.
• Lead functional testing and certify releases before user acceptance.
• Serve as single point of contact for business requirements (SPOC).

Permanent contractSG Global Solution Centre# Business AnalystApply---Bangalore, IndiaReference 26000ITDStart date ImmediatelyPublication date 2026/11/03## Responsibilities• Understand user expectations and develop functional requirements and raises clarifications with stakeholders. • Give Knowledge Transfer to the development team on Functional Specifications. • Train developers on functional concepts and resolve functional problems faced. • Acts as SPOC for business requirements and represents the end user in the development team. • Lead and conduct functional testing thereby responsible for certification of product release before user acceptance. • Encourage best practices and apply them in the team - responsible for functional product quality. • Understand Agile practices (daily scrum, iteration planning, retrospective, test driven, model storming) and follow the same. • Set priority on work product as per the agreed iteration goals. • Work effectively with other team members by sharing best practices.## Profile required• Candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as Business analyst • Understanding on Liquidity Risk and Banking products such as Equities, Fixed income and Derivative products is mandatory • Understanding on BASEL III Liquidity ratios is required • Experience in working with conceptual and physical Data Models, with proven SQL skills is a must • Strong Business Analysis skill across artifacts like Impact analysis, Business Requirement documents, Functional specification document, Functional Validation (Testing) and etc. • Agile process knowledge like user story, sprint, planning, demo is also a must. • Ability to perform validation, testing, functionality reviews and relevant training (peer on boarding, developers, ..).
