Job summary

Societe Generale is seeking a Software Engineer (Java full stack) to contribute to the SG Global Solution Centre in Bangalore. The role focuses on building robust Java applications, implementing Spring Boot, JPA, Spring Security, and Angular front-ends, and delivering REST APIs with a strong emphasis on code quality and best practices.

You will engage in POCs for new tech stacks, support delivery scoping, and align with investment banking and regulatory reporting domains.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of software development experience in Java full stack.
• Must have experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Spring Security, Angular, REST APIs.
• Good knowledge in CI/CD pipeline GIT, Maven, Jenkins, XL Deploy.
• Exposure to Unix and Windows OS, Eclipse/IntelliJ.
• Knowledge on production monitoring tools and production practices.
• Nice to have: BigData, Apache Spark, Python, Spring Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Curiosity in latest trends and readiness to do POCs with new technical stack.
• Managing and owning team’s quality practices – Clean Code, Design principles, SOLID.
